Well, hello and welcome. I'm Steve Maxwell, creator and instructor for this

woodworking for beginners course and I want to start by thanking you for being

here. I have a number of courses I've created and that I teach and I've been doing it for a few years now and I really enjoy it but none of that would

matter at all if people like you hadn't signed up for the course. So, thank you

very much. My goal here is to deliver much more value than you expect to get

for the fee that you've paid to be here and one way I'm quite sure I can do that

is because of the way this course and all my courses in fact are constructed

There's the material that you're going to get here but then there's also direct

access to me and I want you to, I want to encourage you to use that because I can

answer specific questions, maybe things I didn't cover properly in the course or

unusual circumstances that have come up in your situation. I can also take a

look at some of the results you've produced to see if there's any problem

You know, you can just go take a little video with your phone, some photos, send

it to me. So, essentially what we're doing here is recreating as much as we can a

one-on-one teaching situation. So, as you go through the course materials you'll

see some videos there, plenty of written text, some plans, illustrations, photographs and it all comes back to your contact with me though. So, please

make use of that and I think that you'll find that if we both have a kind of

back-and-forth exchange as part of this course that you will leave feeling that

you've gotten your money's worth. So, before we get into it I just want to explain briefly how it works. So, first of all you will have access to this course

for as long as you need to. So, there's no rush, there's no way you're going to get

through all this stuff in the weeks that the course makes its way to you. So

access as much as you want to the course materials and to me. So, we can keep this

back and forth going as long as we need to. And throughout the course there

is written material and then there's videos and the two work together. So, be

sure to take both in at the same time so you can understand how it works, you can

get the most out of it and then you can just get to your own work and your own
