In this lesson you will learn:
- how to create your own kitchen layout customized for your space
- how to tally a cutting list for plywood cabinet box parts
You need to settle on all the main design details of your cabinets before you cut any wood, and this means thinking about the design process. Don’t worry, this sounds a lot more difficult than it is. The first and second steps involve determining dimensions for upper and lower cabinets. Third, you’ll need to determine overall layout of the essential features of your kitchen, the fridge, range and sink. Fourth, you’ll need to get a sense of how long the various sections making up each section of your kitchen will be. And fifth, start thinking about the width and styling of face frame and trim elements. Watch the video up next to get started.
