this have a plastic flap inside that just falls down by gravity but this has got a styrofoam ball

and as you can see it closes off by gravity when there's no air flow but as soon as the dryer or

the exhaust fan turns on it lifts the ball out of the way and you can see now there's an opening

that the air can get out. When the fan shuts off it falls down again. This vent has been in use for
