33 simple crown molding

This is a quick tour of some simple crown molding that works well with this cabinet design

The bottom part here is cove molding. You can buy that at just about any lumber yard

You can make your own too if you like. The next layer is some quarter inch wide bullnose

It sits on top of the cove and then on top of the quarter inch bullnose is half inch bullnose that sticks out a little bit proud of it

The half inch bullnose extends past the back edge of both of these pieces so it forms a kind of a ledge

So this crown molding just sits on top of the cabinet resting on the half inch bullnose with the other two components down below

This is assembled as one unit ahead of time and then cut and fit into the corners with some nails driven down through the top to hold it in place
