Back in 2018, I went on a guided tour of the Brampton Brick manufacturing facility in Ontario Canada. It was given by the man who designed the plant and oversees its operation. This is the largest clay brick plant in all of North America and they produce about 800,000 bricks per day with only 7 operators on staff at any given time. That’s more than 200 million bricks a year or about 5 million bricks per person per year when counting all employees, including office staff.

Click above to watch a detail technical tour of the plant from the inside. I think you’ll be surprised. I really enjoyed the visit and found it fascinating.
