I recently took a close look at the topic of wood-looking ceiling planks as an alternative to the typical drywall and stucco, both for new installations and as a repair strategy for existing, damaged ceilings. As it turns out, the Armstrong ceiling planks you see in the video below can also be installed over drop ceiling tracks to eliminate that institutional look that’s all too common in homes. Watch the video below for a tour of pre-finished, wood-look ceiling planks and how they work. I think you’ll be inspired. The specific product is called Woodhaven,  and I’ll be using on an upcoming home restoration project I have on the go.
