Building products are always getting better, and that goes especially for items made for finishing basement. Insul-Armor is an up-and-coming subfloor product that does a number of things exceptionally well. It’s light in weight, it cuts easily with a knife, and it delivers more than R4 of insulation underfoot. Insul-Armor also has ample drainage channels on the bottom face, allowing small amounts of leaked water to drain away harmlessly.Watch the video above for a full product tour. This stuff is easy to like and the best option I’ve seen for basement subfloors.
