On July 4, 1987, I laid the first stone in what would be the basement of my homestead house on Manitoulin Island, Canada. Back on July 26, 2018 I laid the last stone in the last of four peaks in this stone house. Over the 31 years between those dates I worked on this place in my spare time while raising my family and earning a living to support them, so it’s been a long time coming. My son, Robert, and I made a video to commemorate the “last stone” event.
